Need Proxy Server Program 28.11.08
I
need a sort of proxy program for the internet (http and https only). I want
a server side that I can put on one computer and the client side I can use
on my end ( I take a laptop on the road and want to make it look like I’m
actually browsing / emailing from the house).
The server side should start with windows automatically in case the computer
has to reboot, and it can then send the IP address to an email address or it
can post to a website (I can make a cgi script so the server side can go to
something.com/cgi-bin/ip.cgi?ip=*IP HERE*)
In any case, the client side will probably not be necessary if you can make
it work like a typical proxy (I can configure IE / Firefox to use a proxy
server).
The proxy needs to be completely invisible, so any web server I access will
appear it’s really coming from my home computer. I should be able to use the
same laptop but access two or three computers if I need to, and if I visit
the same website through three computer, the website won’t know it’s the
same guy behind it.
I believe this is called a highly anonymous proxy server. The language used to make it doesn’t matter.
