Gather Website Intelligence 07.05.08
I need some research done on a handful of websites. I have done this in the past for a client, and just don’t have the time now. There are a few different parts here:
1. Gather statistics on PageRank, pages indexed in Google, Links to home page in Yahoo, links to domain in Yahoo, estimated monthly visitors, average page views per visit. You can add whatever else you think is of value. This involves looking at four sites.
2. For two of the sites, identify any results in the top 10 Google SERPs. I will not give you a list of words to look for. You will need to find any words these sites rank well for.
3. Review list of blogs (about 10 already identified, and I want you to find about 10 more). You will be looking for the best way to get a link from that site. That will involve seeing where (or if) they link to the main competitor site, identify their Google PageRank, find name and contact info for the owner (checking the blog, and whois, when available). Make a suggestion for how best to approach them for a link, whether that be requesting a blogroll entry, offering content, etc. I have a template to follow. Most of the 10 or more you will find on your own will be in the blogroll lists on the blogs I will give you.
I need good, solid work done and I need it fairly promptly (within a few days).
