Manager, Web Services – Public Library Association 21.05.08
The Public Library Association (PLA) division of the American Library Association (ALA) is looking for a full-time Web Services Manager to manage and develop PLA web presence to serve the organization and its mission. Responsible for overall design, development and content management of www.pla.org. Creates web presence ensuring content is timely, up to date and user oriented. Manages virtual member communities, member social networking and 2.0 initiatives. Provides technology support for development of PLA e-learning programs (including technology and instructional design for webcasts, e-seminars and virtual seminars) and other web-based products and programs. Supports e-marketing of PLA initiatives. Supports web capabilities including registration, e-commerce, creation of online forms and member data integration. Works collaboratively with PLA staff, internal ALA departments and appropriate member committees.
