Live Video Player 22.07.08
I am looking for someone to find/modify/develop a flash video player that will stream a given video file from an XML config file. This player will be used to stream live events on our website. The player will make use of an XML config file. The XML config file will have the following information:
http:// path to video file (usually mpeg or wmv). This file will be full length/quality
UNIX timestamp of when video streaming can begin. This player will mimic a live cast. The time will be compared to the local client time; not the server time. If i enter a date in the XML config time field of 7 pm tomorrow, the video will start playing at 7pm tomorrow in each timezone. If a user logs in at 7:30, the player should skip to 30 minutes into the video. The user can manually rewind by clicking the rewind button.
the video player should be as simple as possible. I want pause, play, stop, rewind and fast forward buttons. There should be a maximize button to maximize the video. There should also be progress bar with timers. the buttons do not have to be fancy. Something similar to youtube’s would work fine.
If the user is viewing the player before the video starts, there should be a message on the player saying something like, video has not started streaming yet. This live video will start at xx:xx on whatever date.
I would rather find something that is open source then have someone develop this from scratch. Please post with your bid and thoughts. Bids without a PMB will NOT be included in our decision.
