I am seeking to have a content module built that is similar to the ones used by Cool Iris to power piclens. I seek to create an interactive content timeline. I seek to have the timeline open in a page that displays the specific periods being cataloged arranged by pics of the events we are referencing.
For instance, if we were creating a timeline about the 2008 democratic primary, we would need pics of each candidate on this timeline, the user would be able to click on John Edwards pic, it would move to the front of the other pictues on the timeline (superimposed) the user should be able to then click on the John Edwards pic and it will open to a specific static page where the written content will be staged. The user should be able to back out of that specific page and end up back on the timeline to visit the Hillary Clinton page, etc.
We should have the ability to set up the content on the timeline as we see fit. So, in essence the timeline is a doorway to the primary content pages (the pictures serving as links).
I’m not a developer, so I would need the person hired to explain to me how the module would need to be built. I need all specifics outlined before the project is commenced. Whether it needs to built in flash, ajax, etc isn’t important as long as the core functionality is built in and it provides a cool, interactive, and seamless user experience.
Please do not bid if you do not have any references. I won’t post a projected bid amount, due to the fact that I don’t know what the project fully entails.
