We ship our products by trucks or containers at different sizes.
Our problem is about calculating and planning how many trucks the orders will fit..
The major problem is loading the pipes in different diameters and quantities to the trucks.
They are loaded cascading style and the smaller diameters is loaded in bigger ones.one within another.
3 smaller diameter can be loaded into one big diameter pipe as you see in the attachment(it shows the backside of a truck).
The orders contains for example:
200 pcs 20 cm diameter pipe
334 pcs 16 cm diameter pipe
250 pcs 12 cm diameter pipe
400 pcs 10 cm diameter pipe
…
We want to know in how many trucks the order will fit.
Does your software handle this cases and solve them
