This is for a Joomla 1.0.12 installation…http://www.universityofinternetscience.com/
Description: Make a custom registration module similar to http://www.facebook.com/ for the right hand column of http://www.universityofinternetscience.com/ and minor tweak to current right-hand login module. (can use existing css)
Right now the registration is as follows:
1. Click register or Join Now on front page
2. Register through Community Builder http://www.universityofinternetscience.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=registers, 3. Log in
4. Create their subscription with or without a coupon through com_jcs! (com_jcs j content subscription is what manages and protects various areas of the site)
5. Finally access the info
Also right now to reset password the client must have their username and original email.
So we are looking to simplify the process.
Details for custom module:
The new mod should be a “one stop” registration & login. It should insert the new person into all proper tables (joomla, community builder, and jcs). It should fire off com_vanessa in the background. The module should ajax / validate the username and email to ensure they do not exist before continuing. Once the person registers, they should receive the standard confirmation email it should automatically log them in using the redirect in the from current login mod.
The Custom Registration module should say (please see facebook.com for proper layout):

<sign up button> (just like facebook’s)
Minor tweak to current Login module:
Instead of “Lost Password?” say “Lost Username/Password?
and http://www.universityofinternetscience.com/index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=lostPassword should only ask for email address, then it emails the Username AND new reset password. (right now person must know their username and email to reset the password, all they should need is their email address)
That’s it…once the project has been accepted I will provide access to dev server.
