Access Expert And Web Design 21.08.08
I have two promotional stores in orange county and 2 more on the way. We specialize in silk screening, embroidery, we basically put your logo on over 10,000.000 products. We are a growing company and we want a system that works.
Database:
Over the last 15 years, we have used the same programmer to design our Microsoft access database specific to our needs. Our current programmer has proven to us that he is not capable of meeting our needs and continues to work at his own pace. Not only are we having minor issues with the database but we are considering using a web application to run our database from multiple stores. Another concern is that our company database exists on a workgroup computer.
Email:
Email is a huge concern of ours and currently we have no server. I would like to use exchange server and was considering Microsoft Small Business Server 2003.
Website:
Our company website specialtspromo.com soon to be specialts.com needs a complete overhaul, we currently use a promotional product template purchased from ASI, the largest promotional wholesaler in the industry. (http://www.asicentral.com) Our largest competitors use ASI but their sites blow ours away. Our site does have a checkout system, however it is extremely difficult to use and so we never use it. Our competitors give their customers the option to upload their designs and artwork, to preview their design on products and to submit the designs. We want what they have!
Network:
We held off on purchasing new servers and all the equipment until we can come up with a plan that will handle our email, our database and possibly our website. Sometimes I have to send employees to the other store, but they still need to be able to check their email and orders from the other store. I need flexibility. Right now we are using Logmein and that is making my hair fall out.
SEO:
We want the business but we want to take it slow, we want orange county until we are ready to expand.
