Long Term Delphi Freelance 05.07.08
We are currently looking for 1/2 freelancers for one of our gamesites.
That specific gamesite is created in Delphi using raw socket connections between server and the gameclients. WE have created our own Graphics lib’s you need to use.
We currently have made all the games “our self”, but are considering to outsource the development of the games to freelancers. Delphi is a rather outdated developmentplatform, but this site seem to have experinced Delphi developers.
Basically we want you to be very active and responsible in the development of our future games. Our track records tells us we use about 100 hours per game, plus 5-7 debugging/refactoring cycles of 5 hour. That is about 125-150 hours per game for an experinced developer - and maybe about 200 for you in the begininng because you have to learn a new framework etc.
Graphics, sounds etc. are created by our designers. Your only task will be software developmemt in Delphi.
Can you please inform me about following:
- Can you describe how much Delphi experince you have? (When was your last Delphi job, what version of Delphi have you been working with etc. )
- Are you an educated developer from an University or are you self-taught?
- If we agree, when will you be able to start working for us?
- We will require bi-weekly releases from you so that we can track the progress and see if everything is going ok. Will you be able to do this?
- You will receive rough-requirement lists from us, but in generel we expect a lot responsibility from you. Will you accept to work under such conditions where you have to make decisions your self and not everything is specified?
- Will you be able to sign a Non-discloure agreement and deeply - truely deeply - accept NEVER to spread/copy our software to ANYONE? This is VERY important to us!
Payouts/Bank transferes will occure when: First 50% - when the game is feature complete. Final 50% - when the 5-7 debugging cycles are finished a final game is ready for release.
