Let me give you an outline of whats required.
People will need to log in to the site and register once with full name/address etc, these details will need to be kept in a database for future reference. Once registered they will be able to log on and book a 5 minute slot, in that 5 minutes they will need to be able to upload there webcam to the site for everyone to see, there will need to be a rating system where other people can judge what they’ve seen.
Each 24hr period needs to be broken up into upto 288 slots of 5 minutes long. So basically 288 different people will book a slot of 5 minutes long, logon and stream there cam to the site.
Just need to make this clear, only one cam will be streaming at any one time to the site but this might be viewed by thousands.
Access will be required to be able to stop/start streams if this cant be done automatically. The site will be monitored constantly for innapropriate content.
So basically Page one will have usual header with logo, adverts down both flanks with media player central, Some basic text with other links etc, nothing unusual with this page just all effort and attention to be placed on the media player, the rest is all basic stuff.
Page 2 will be registration page, name address, username password and tick box to confirm they have read terms/conditions/disclaimer etc. After initial registration people can login using username = password. Would be good if we can have some kind of Ip address storing somehow?
Our main concern is people booking a slot and doing some kind of untoward/indecent act live on the site, we must be able to stop their stream and ban them from doing it again.
Page 3 is just the Terms/Conditions/Disclaimer etc page( this might have to be more than 1 page to prevent it being 10 miles long.
So there it is, an outline of whats required. I would appreciate your advice and suggestions in any area of the site.
Colours: nothing too dramatic but certainly not boring and dull, to me the operation of the site is important but the design needs to be professional and capable.
