OBJECTIVE Create a website that will allow users to find coupons, reviews, and savings information easily and efficiently. The website will feature both online savings, as well as local specific savings offers that can be searched for by zip code and area.
There will 2 versions of the site created :
1. ASP/.NET version website
2. Mobile website for access by cell phones and other internet enabled devices (such as IPods, etc)
The site will feature:
-Newest Coupons
-Top 10 Coupons in your Area
-Top Rated Values (based on user ratings)
-Top Reviews
-National Savings
The site will feature the following sections and features:
1.Coupons coupons will be available by category and/or location, as well as college to appeal to and for ease of use by students if the user first selects a category they will then be asked for their location, and vice versa if they first enter their location, they then have the option to refine search by category or view all offers
Once within the localized coupon page, the additional options of classifieds, overstock, blogs and savings suggestions as they apply to that location will be available through a sidebar index
Coupons will have the option to be printed, or to send to mobile phone
Coupons will features the option to:
1.print
2.send to cell phone
3.send to a friend
4.link to website
5.driving directions
6.post a review
7.Add to DIGG and other DIGG-style applications
8.Reviews ratings and comments feature per coupon
9.Visitor Recommendations or Saving Suggestions spotlight of highest rated and recommended coupons and offers
10. National Coupons
11.Classifieds allow users to post classified ads, initially will be set up to post for free but could later be converted to a per cost/per ad basis?
12.Overstock Offers and Specials
13.Blogs - Experiences about using coupons or saving money using coupons, tips and easy ways to save money. Place where people can share coupon info and coupon stories.
14.Banner ads for advertising these ads will be based off of industry standard banner sizing, Banners will be presented in relation to the applicable categories, areas or locations, etc.
15.Mailing system that will alert users of new coupons weekly (or at the interval determined most useful), as well as a mail alert for Coupons Expiring Soon
16.Administrative area where both the admin, and customers themselves can create coupons. Choices of design templates will be pre-defined, and the user simply fills in their information. An attractive web and print ready coupon will then be created and placed on the site. Users can upload logos, text, descriptions, select from clipart to create their coupon submission and printable coupon file. If a logo is supplied, it will be included in the main category index, for easy recognition by users.
17.Admin will be able to control areas of the site and determine what information is displayed add banners, featured deals, etc. Top 10’s, Top rated, etc will be fully automated
