Web Crawler Project 19.09.08
We are a an established IP & IT consulting company with corporate clients doing business in over 200 countries worldwide. We are looking for a subcontractor to do web crawler work on a regular and on-going basis. We are busy and would like to completely off-load this area of our work on an on-going basis to a competent reliable sub-contractor. We are seeking human intelligence combined with the software you use.
We want to see if your results are as good or better than ours that we get with the human intelligence added to the software we currently use. We may want results daily, weekly, or monthly. If so, we are interested in a 6 month to 1 year contract with you on one or more projects, that can renew. Feel free to do a simple complementary / no charge / or minimal charge web crawler project and send us the results. We would like the results in MS Excel, but are open to other options. Use of MS Office could be helpful, but not necessary. We are also open to the adoption of (and use of) whatever software you use in finding, viewing, sorting, and using results.
We have no association whatsoever with the following domains or companies, and only suggest them for the sample project(s) suggested about. You could use other domains / companies if you like. In essence, we are not looking for you to do work that we can use, but rather we are looking to see your ability.

a) Here are a couple of sample projects. Again, we have no relationship with any of these companies. Do a web crawl and find and report every time the company name or domain is found anywhere on the entire world wide web (in both English & Chinese): 1) texstar.de Or 2) tagpins.eu Or 3) NANJING GUANGSHUN PLASTIC CO., LTD. Or 4) GUANG SHUN PLASTIC CO., LTD.
b) Separate from the above, the next level would be for you to do an another sample project complementary / no charge / minimal charge in another area. Pick a major brand that is marketed on the world wide web and do an anti-counterfeiting report, reporting the use of a protected / trademarked product name, mark, or related domain anywhere on the entire world wide web, on blogs, auction sites, etc. and ad in such as, but not limited to, typo-squatters, cyber-squatters, etc. This report can be done in English only, but English & Chinese preferred.
