Extensible Web 2.0 Forum 11.03.08
This is a php/MYSQL based forum that requires complex real-time data delivery. Content is delivered in close to real-time based on a combination of user site behavior and user’s interaction with categorized posts. This definitely requires AJAX content delivery based on a rules engine (though this could conceivably be done in flex/flash as well, requiring the code to be re-written).
The forum does exist. It would be up to the engineer to decide whether to build the engine on top of existing code or start over.
We have well-defined business requirements, as well as visual designers. The site needs to be very clean and “web 2.0″.
