Ffmpeg Web Conversion Script.  19.09.08

Project Outline.
Produce a web script (preferably written in PHP or Java) that will allow me convert local video files using ffmpeg.

Desired Usage.
Unlike typical video sites using ffmpeg which convert files a user uploads, I requier the ability to convert files that are already on the server. In other words a need a web page which will graphicly display a pre-determined directory of videos and allow me to select a file to be converted.

Process run through.
The script will allow us to access a directory (ex /video )on the server, choose one of many video files and convert it using ffmpeg. The converted file will then be dumped to another directory. (ex /rip ).

Script features.
Once a video file is selected a few options will be needed. Such as output file type (ex. mp4, 3gp, flv) aswell as a few quality (bit rate) settings to compensate for different connection speeds. These options should be selectable via a drop down menu, and directly corespond to the ffmpeg commands which therfore should be easily modified in the code should I wish to add, remove, or tweak output file options or bitrates in the future. It would be nice to also have some kind of status bar which will show the progress of the conversion.

Input and output directories should be configurable in the code. Output file type and conversion bit-rate options will be selectable in a drop down menu and configured in the code.

The server is a OpenVZ VPS running CentOS5, and PHP5. FFmpeg is fully configured to work with PHPMOTION therfore there should be no problems with the server during your development. Root access is available to the programmer, however FTP is prefered. It is assumed to save time you will make use of the PHPVideoToolkit available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpvideotoolkit/ however this is not requiered.

On my end everything is ready to go. This should be a faily easy job for the right person. Please dont bid if you have not worked with FFmpeg or web based directory browsing before.
