I need a way to upload JPG, SWF, FLV and MP3 files to my website. This should be a web based application.
Notes:
* File size should not be an issue. Some files will be very (>20mb) large.
* If possible, a progress bar should be used while uploading.
* Basic (ugly) HTML can be used. I will design around your code.
Functionality:
User browses their computer for JPG, SWF, FLV or a zip file containing a collection of these things.
User selects the category that the content belongs in (eg: New York)
Program uploads content to temporary location
Program reads EXIF data from images
Program shows thumbnails along with text boxes to describe content
* note: thumbnails should be displayed for JPG, SWF and FLV. MP3 files can have a generic icon.
Text boxes: Title, Tagline, Description, Address, Lat, Long
If EXIF data exists for any of these fileds, data values are automatically inserted into text boxes
User reviews data and makes changes or additions to information
User submits any changes or additions
Program updates EXIF data in images
Program stores images perminantly on disk in a hiarchial method
Program writes jpg/swf/flv/mp3 locations to database along with data
BASIC TESTS:
Files should be uploaded, information retrieved and updated
A page should display each category, set, and details.
I will provide you with 2 sample mySQL tables:
categories.sql: a list of categories (eg: New York)
locations.sql: a list of the pointers and data for each individual location
