Fix Permissions 14.10.08
I need someone to fix my server and site permissions and resent users and group settings.
I have a dedicated server with full root access. There are several domains hosted on the server.
I recently hired a programmer to fix a slight problem with video uploading and now multiple areas of the site do not work. It seems as though setting were changed. SSL certs for two of my domains now give me errors. When you view the certificate info you see it does not correctly list the domain name but says it is a root certificate issued to Plesk.
In another case, certain directories are now Forbidden when they use to be accessible.
You can see in the Plesk control panel that users and group names have been changed for certain directories while others have not. Some now list “root” as the group and user name while most other directories list the domain name as the user and/or group.
I am trying to figure out what this programmer messed up. Please bid it you have any experience fixing server problems.
