I have a membership web site. When members join they can select a few optional upgrades. One upgrade allows them to have their photo shown on the home page. Another upgrade allows them to show their photo in the gallery. When they register their upgrade selections are recorded to the database.
Currently, I am adding the photos to the home page and photo gallery by hand. I need to automate the process.
I need you to write some code to check the database to see what members have paid for the upgrade to show their photo on the home page. Then the code should also check to make sure that members have a photo uploaded. If no photo exist, skip that member. If a photo exits then show the photo.
The same programming should be done for the photo gallery. If the member has not uploaded a photo then skip that member.
There are five photos on the home page. They should appear randomly or in a rotation.
The gallery should show all members with photos and have selected the gallery upgrade. New photos can be added on the fly or if it is easier we can make an index and just run an update every so often. For the gallery page - if possible - I would like new members to always appear first with the older members getting moved down the page as new members are added.
The one catch with the gallery page is that the photos need to be spread over several pages.
