Gallery Expert Needed 22.02.08
I need a gallery expert to help me fix a problem caused by my server being upgraded. Anywhere HTML has been entered in a picture description or field, it is being decoded and displayed as HTML on the end page.
For instance,
When I say HTML code is being displayed, I mean the HTML is converted to something like this:
<P>Sample Text</P>
which displays on the finished page as:
<P>Sample Text</P>
I have gallery set to allow Raw HTML code in user’s entries.
My web host informed me that they upgraded my server, and ever since then gallery has been displaying html code on all the pages where HTML has been entered by a user (i.e. picture descriptions).
This happens wherever HTML code has been entered in an item description or other fields.
The database is fine and the description fields can be edited like normal. The only problem is that the end page being generated is converting the HTML like I explained above.
It worked fine for years before this upgrade. I will need you to tell me the exact, detailed solution to the problem for future reference if this ever happens again.
