Mediawiki Engineer Needed 08.04.08
For an upcoming MediaWiki project I’m looking for a high qualified engineer with fundamental MediaWiki knowledge.
The project covers several tasks. Here is a short overview:
1. Extended RSS Reader template
(use of SimpleFeed Extension: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:SimpleFeed)
Modification needed:
o Feed URL to be defined by template variable (e.g. <feed url=” http://digg.com/rss/{{PAGENAMEE}}.xml”>
o Parse any items of a feed (like MediaRSS) - output based on template variable (e.g. {DATE} or {diggCount}) use SimplePie Addons (http://simplepie.org/wiki/addons/start)
2. Multiple Feeds for 1 singe page (e.g. London has a Weather RSS feed, a Web Search feed, a Flickr feed, digg feed, etc.) each feed should be an individual section to edit
3. Modify UploadCSV Extension to enable the upload of >2 files using >2 different templates for 1 single page
4. Transform a full HTML page to a MediaWiki Skin individual modules should be transformed to Wiki templates
A detailed project plan for each task will be provided. A test server with the latest MediaWiki engine is available.
