Merge Vbulletin 3.6.3 Into Smf 09.03.08
We have recently purchased a vBulletin 3.6.3 domain + content. We want to merge this forum’s content into our current SMF forum on a different domain, including:
- user accounts
- forum posts
- all other important content (permissions, avatars, SQL, etc.)
Our SMF 1.1.2 is bridged with Joomla. We expect all user accounts to work with Joomla and SMF bridged login functions.
We assume this will require the following steps:
1. Freeze and backup vBulletin software and SQL
2. Convert vBulletin 3.6.3 into SMF 1.1.2 (our current SMF version)
3. Merge vBulletin SQL and forum content into SMF SQL and forum content
4. Re-activate SMF after checking directories, content, SQL, permissions, graphics, boards, etc. are properly working
Additional instructions will be provided after we agree on the job. (Which boards to delete, which boards to merge, etc.)
