Mission of website: Allow visitors to find and view any restaurant’s menu and contact information online.
How to do this from end user perspective:
1. Search and browse for a restaurant by type of food (cuisine)/keywords and location (zip code and radius for USA and Canada), by restaurant’s name and location, by price range and cuisine/keywords and location.
2. Anyone can register and add a new restaurant and menu, along with description (which will be keywords). Menu is accepted in PDF, DOC, TXT, etc.. and is displayed efficiently to visitors. When adding a new restaurant and menu, the website should first check to see if there is that restaurant in database and if it has a menu or not.
3. Users can add reviews.
Admin section:
Easy way to add/modify/delete restaurants, menus, users and user reviews.
Extract all restaurant information from Yelp.com and menus from Yelp or MenuPages.com. This will give us a good base to start with.
Web 2.0 themed design is important. Must be very clean and easy to use website.
