Phpbb2 News (forum Clone) 24.01.09
I need a news section for my site which is built on phpBB2.
It need to work exactly like the forums(both member part and admin area). So, copying the forum files and renaming them should be fine. As long as it works!
- I want to be able to have a news frontpage, for example domain.com/news.php(you do not need to design or create this)
- then like the index.php of the phpbb2 forum, I want newsindex.php
- I want the rest of the same functionality of the forums to work for the news area.
- I want to be able to add news catagories and news forums in admin, same as for the normal forums
- I want to be able to add moderators for news section only, also permission that only news posters and/or news moderators are able to start topics. Members are only allowed to read the topics and reply(so the permissions part needs to be added too)
- I have a recent topics(forum) mod which I want you to adapt to the news forum(I will send you the file after I accept your bid), because I will use this mod to retrieve topics from the news forum to domain.com/news.php in seperate boxes(sports/news/entertainment/ect)
Please remember : All I am really asking for is a forum clone. So you would only need to clone the necessary files and database for the forum and alter these to make the news forum. This shouldn’t be much work if you know what you are doing.
Also : I cannot give access to the server since I share this with other people. So you will have to send me the files(also for the admin area) I need to upload and write down the instructions(how to install and the database part ect).
