Desktop Advertising System
Looking for a desktop based Advertising application which users will download & install.
The application itself will sit on the users computer and monitor what is shown in the browsers address bar
(support for IE, Firefox etc).
The application should query the address bar with a central database, which will see if there are any suitable advertisers for that URL By keywords. If there are, the application will then display an
small window in the bottom right side of the screen. (Size of the Windows update window)
The window will display a text about the URL being visited. If the User clicks on the window a browser will pop the selected Landing Page.
The matching criteria will be solely based upon the address bar. So if someone wants to advertise on the keyword “car” the display window will show once someone visits a site which has car in the address bar. For example, mycar.com
or google.com/search?q=car etc etc
A cookie will need to be placed on the users desktop so we can set how many ads the user will see from the same keyword query.
I.e if the person searches for “car” over and over the window ad will only be displayed X amount of times,
which will be set by the ad manager.
We are looking for the development of the desktop application and a web-based database, which will act as an ad manager.
The ad manager will load all landing pages and keyword list. The manager will also be able to set the number
of times each add is shown to the same user. Ad manager will keep stats of how many times each Keyword is queried
as well as how many times each landing page was called.
