Trivia Game 4 Traffic Exchange 06.04.08
This job is to create a PHP script the integrates a trivia game to an existing ‘traffic exchange’.
The traffic exchange runs on the popular LJ advanced TE script. (in case you are familiar with that script).
In case you are not familiar with a ‘traffic exchange’, it is a membership site where members view each others websites to earn advertising credits to have their site shown to other members.
Here is how it would work:
After every xx sites that a member views in the exchange they are shown a triva question with 4 multiple choice answers.
They select an answer and then are shown a page saying if they were correct or not and the correct answer
If they get it right they get awarded credits or maybe an entry into a prize drawing or both.
They are only given like 30 seconds to answer, or it refreshes and says “sorry better luck next time.” (or something) - this prevents them from Googling the answer.

A. Spy
B. Cowboy
C. Professor
D. Accountant
correct answer = C
Answer response: Indiana Jones was an professor of archeology.
We have a spreadsheet of questions, with the 4 answer choices, which answer is correct and a corresponding answer explaination.
The data is in the form:
Category, Question, Answer A, Answer B, Answer C, Answer D, Correct Answer, Correct Answer words
the spreadsheet can be saved as csv file (or something) and needs to be imported into the database.
The script would need to get a question at random from the database that the user has not seen previously and display it.
then process the response and award credits (if right) and show the “correct, you’ve won x credits” or “incorrect” plus the answer response.
It should also keep track of the number of correct answers that each player gets over a given period of time. Probably by day and in a way that the admin can retrieve the data for a given day or week.
There also needs to be an easy way for the admin to add new questions.
