Wedding Gift List Website 30.09.08
Need a simple site that allows gifts to be entered into the site through an admin page/CMS system, in the form of pictures and text. Then visitors to the site can view the gift details and then commit to buying that gift.
The details for the gift should consist of a title, one or more pictures, and a description of the gift, a price, quantity, category and optionally a web link.
When a site visitor commits to buying a gift then they should provide some basic details, name, message, and optionally an email address. If the email address is provided then an email confirmation must be sent when committing to buy the gift.
The site should consist of the following pages,
Site Admin - to add the gifts to the site including pictures and text, plus a way to add the gift categories.
Gift list page - a page that lists the gifts with a thumbnail picture, title and description, with the gifts ordered into categories.
Gift list details page - a page that shows the full details of the gift with pictures, and allow a site visitor to commit to buying the gift.

Not too worried as to how the site will look as long as it functions as required.
Ideally the site will be written for RoR, but no problem with PHP/MySQL/CSS (or any other popular technology as long as it works well). Using the latest AJAX bit is a must, especially an AJAX lightbox for the pictures in the gift details.
