Win2003 - Help Me To Host 25.07.08
I need someone to help me setup a webserver.
I want to host videos.
I want to be the server. I use Cox publications.
I have Windows 2003. That and Linux would be the servers of choice.
I need to learn how to setup my domain name, now hosted elsewhere, it would have to be transferred.
I would need to learn how to protect and manage the server, even including running a virus scan when a person decides to upload or view a video.
I’ve tried some methods, and well, they didn’t work.
This site is NOT ecommerce, it’s a fund raising site for disabled men who get dropped through the welfare system because they are disabled men.
It is also a fundraiser for disabled animals and may eventually include funds to support people who feel they are victims of domestic violence. The latter is an important issue, that I am trying to deal with, not like everyone else. But by providing help for rejected wives, or even husbands, to find directions on resuming their lives.
The goal is to avoid burdening the police and government and creating an incentive for people to help themselves.
It is important to me that anyone doing this project understands it’s purpose. It is my belief that the internet is both good and evil. Yet since neither one can live without the other, it is my intention to try to intercede without laying down my life. Instead, I just want to help others find their own.
