Windows Xp + Unix To Dual Boot 18.06.08

Hi
I need someone to advise me how to do the following.
I have 1 laptop and I use 2 systems on the laptop.
1 is a Windows XP
2 is a UNIX system
I use both systems and because I have 1 hard drive space only I have keep on changing the hard disk to use the system.
I need some to advise me on how I can put the 2 system all into 1 Hard Disk so I can dual boot and I select on startup which system I want to use Windows or UNIX.
I have a USB connector for my hard drive so I can connect them on to my PC to view.
I need some advice and step by step information on how I can do this.
If the is a software I need, you can tell me what it is I need then you can advise me step by step.
