Wordpress Custom Email Plugin 23.08.08
I need a custom Wordpress plugin created. It will allow users to register to Receive Email Alerts when posts on Wordpress match certain keywords.
1) Registration
The plugin allows users to register with their email address and a password. They are then sent an email to confirm their password and email address before they login. They then click a link in the email to come to the website to make that confirmation. Then they can login.
User Login
2) After a user logs in, they can setup News Alerts from the Wordpress site. They enter search terms for each of these. They are allowed up to 20 separate News Alerts at the same time. They can also delete News Alerts and create new ones.
Email
3) Whenever new posts match the search terms, an email (with charset=UTF-8) is sent to the user with the link to the article and its headline. It does not need to be immediate - it can be within 3 hours of the post.
Considerations:
1) All the words on the site need to be in a Language File. The ultimate usage of this plugin will be on a non-Engish site, so I will do the translation later.
2) The users will NOT use the Wordpress user tables. They will us alternative tables. If a user registers for the News Alerts, they WILL NOT be able to login to Wordpress.
3) The Admin section will allow me to add/delete users; change passwords; and increase the amount of allotted News alerts (e.g. more than 20) per user.
4) This plugin should be light and able to upgrade to all future Wordpress without a problem.
5) This plugin should NOT break Wordpress. It should not cause undo stress/strain on the database.
