Wordpress + Vbulletin 05.06.08
I am looking to use vbulletin and wordpress on a site where the users can use both systems with little fuss.
There is an existing vbulletin forum with 2000 members. im looking to make wordpress the frontend of the site.
What im looking to do is have all vbulletin members as members of wordpress
Have a plugin or mod or types (without core file edits) to log the user into both systems from 1 login
When a new blog post is posted, it goes into the news forum on vbulletin. Commenting should be handled by vbulletin. If possible the commenting in as a reply to a thread in vbulletin should push the reply back to wordpress (thus leaving both systems holding the comments and posts and both could easily be seperated without loss of data
Going forward all membership needs to stay sync’d and thus any plugin or mod should handle this on an ongoing basis itself to ensure integrity between users of the systems (i.e. that passwords and email address remain constant among the users)
