Xml/dat/jpgs To Googlemap 22.06.08
I think my system is producing the required data and I am hoping this is easy for a google mapping expert.
My Real Estate software tool which runs my listings, customers and website creates and FTP’s some files to publish listings to my website and my PDA
I have attached two zip files with two different sets of data files my software exports:
-PDA.zip is the files exported to my PDA including photos and an xml file (which doesn’t include all the fields I want)
-Website.zip is the files exported to my website including photos and an *.dat file but doesn’t include my preferred icon picture
I have created a manual Google Map and embedded it into my website.
But I would like to create file from my software and easily add the all office listings to it, (hopefully) adding some locations that don’t change eg churches, my office and add custom bubbles that pop-up on mouse rollovers
I would be happy with:
- a tool that allowed me to import the various files and created a KML file to import into my existing googlemap (My understanding is XML converts to KML but I don’t know how to add my pictures, and custom placemarks)
I want this to be easy for me to use and allow me to change my map just by uploading a new KML file.
