Major Flash Template Customize 20.03.08
Perform modification to the template found at http://www.flashmint.com/show-template-2088.html to suit the needs of our fashion-forward, fine jewelry gallery.
OVERVIEW:
As a jewelry design firm, and also one which carries the work of other designers, it is necessary to have a flash portfolio, to discourage the copying/pasting/printing of jewelry photos. This is of the utmost importance. (We realize there is no piracy-proof method.) However, we have a great deal of verbal content that needs to be added to the site, and we would like to get “credit” (meta-tagging/ SEO) for that text on search engines. So, please bear that in mind while reviewing the details below, which mentions “adding content pages,” that we are open to either Flash or HTML informational pages, so long as the content isn’t “hidden” from search engine “spiders.” We have all the text already written and edited, BTW.
REQUIRED DETAILS:
–The obvious: change all template titles, etc., to reflect our company name, slogan, menu options, paragraph headings, etc. Change photos to those provided by us. Please inform as to sizes/formats/resolutions for the photoswe can accommodate.
–Add a link to the main menu, “Want Some?” To be between Services and Contact
–Move the main menu down a bit, and fill the resulting space with a horizontal series of 9 square picture links: Bridal, Custom, Diamonds, Exclusives, Fashion, Gems, Press, Events, Design It. Rolling over the links makes them change from BW to color. To get an idea of these links in a different format, please see: http://s187112541.onlinehome.us/test/alarajewelry/modelsportfolio.swf (If that link does not work, please see the attached PDF file that illustrates what we are seeking.) Please note that we think the clarity of the photos/text you will see at the above site is not adequate. Each picture links to a new content-heavy pagethe designer must explain how he/she intends to transition to the content pages, so that the transition matches the look/feel of the site’s remainder.
–Change “About Us” page to have five sections: (1) - ABOUT ALARA, with 9 text links going to 9 new content-heavy pages (9 different pages than the 9 mentioned above). Plus, 4 titled sections with a short paragraph below each TITLE.
–Change “Portfolio” page so that instead of “Women,” “Men,” and “Children,” it has a drop-down (or whatever!) menu to accommodate 25 different collections by name. Each collection will have 5 to 10 pictures to be shown as small squares at the lower right and then a large version at the left, as is the case currently. Rid of the arrows to show more pictures, as that clearly won’t be necessary. The features of the back-end of this site (http://template-guide.com/flash-cms.php) need to be adjusted to include not only a description that will show on the website when the respective picture shows on the left, but also a “Designer” category, so that the Designer name will show above the description, in large, bold letters. {NOTE: we have NOT confirmed that the CMS module automatically will add additional categories to the menu, but we believe it does. So, there might not be any change to this page required if that is the case.)
–Change “Services” page to have five sections: (1) - OUR SERVICES, with 10 text links to 10 new pop-up pages, with all but one being very short/small. Plus, 3 titled sections with a short paragraph below each TITLE. Accompanying pictures will link to 3 of the above-mentioned pop-up pages.
–New “Want Some” page to match look/feel of the Services page, will comprise of 3 titled sections, one with a single link to an outside website.
–”Contact” page to be changed accordingly.
The site, in total, will have approximately 37 links to outside websites with the content pages, and a total of 170 static photos to be incorporated into the content pages (so, those photos are NOT part of the CMS module).
Additionally, we currently have 21 designers, with a total of 169 pictures spread over them that WILL be part of the CMS module used by the Portfolio.
Escrow will be used. Fluent in English a must. Links to demos or a portfolio will be preferred.
Please provide low/high TOTAL estimate and a realistic time frame. We want this done well, not poorly at a bargain-basement price.
Thanks again.
