Align Menu Bars In Template 04.09.08
I’ve designed an HTML site for a client who wants the navigation to include drop-down menus. I’ve created the menus in Dreamweaver CS3, using Spry, and now need them placed and aligned in my Dreamweaver template.
I’ve tried to adjust the CSS properties myself –right, left, absolute, etc.– but the menu bars shift my site’s elements around. It’s frustrating, and I have my site meeting tomorrow morning. I need someone who can help me place and align these two menu bars in my template.
I also have a question about activating the menu bars in Dreamweaver CS3; when I place the menu bars in an HTML page, they do not open and close on the stage, but can be edited only within the Properties panel. I am wondering if the requisite java script files are associated with my CSS file.
So, the details:
1. I will send you my Dreamweaver template (dwt), two menus bars (in an HTML page) and a page from the template (html) ASAP.
2. You place the horizontal menu bar in the header and the vertical menu bar in the sidebar. The horizontal menu bar must be aligned at the bottom and near-center of the header, between three elements of a background image. The vertical menu must be placed and aligned within the sidebar. (The current template is HTML, fixed, two-column, with a header and footer.)
3. You send the revised, menu-ed template back to me and I make sure it works and posts correctly. If I have any questions, especially about making the menu bars open and close on my stage within my CS3, we communicate today via e-mail or phone.
