Remote Desktop Issue 25.06.08
I have had a charting program running on a dedicated computer so that my associates can log in and make changes to a real time centralized source. A screenshot program then takes a scheduled screen capture of the updated chart at regular intervals, and uploads it to a website.
My office experienced a sustained internet outage, and it disrupted this project terribly. Today I moved the programs to virtual dedicated server in order to have better power and internet stability. Logging into this windows machine via RDP, everything went smoothly…at first. I realized after I was done installing & configuring that every time I minimized the RDP window, or closed the session, the dedicated server’s display goes dark, and the screen shots that are taken are blanks! As soon as I maximize the RDP window or log back in, the process “wakes up” and is updating live screenshots once again.
So I am back to square one… needing a machine in the office up and running to maintain the RDP session in order to keep the web site updated and live. I have tried running loop backed RDP sessions on the server, and every other solution that I could think of.
Bottom line, I need some way to broadcast the screen activity on the windows virtual dedicated server even though no user is logged in via RDP.
